Cornwall Tourism Award Success for two CAD Clients

What a week it has been for two CAD Clients at the Cornwall Tourism Awards 2011!

Rosie Hadden and Simon Toft from Little White Alice were awarded Gold for Sustainable Tourism sponsored by The Eden Project.

Little White Alice is a unique private complex offering sustainable holiday accommodation in beautifully furnished green cottages here in Cornwall. The exclusive green self-catering holiday cottages blend old with new, mixing natural materials and bespoke furnishings with technology and innovation. There is a lovely balance of individuality, sustainability and luxurious comfort.

In total there are six holiday homes in 25 acres of land offering quality carbon-free holidays.

Simon and Rosie designed the luxury self-catering holiday homes themselves with the help of local architects - including us here at CAD – we are very proud to have been involved with this project.

In addition to their recent Gold award Little White Alice have also been featured in The Guardian Green Travel List (published 5 November) as one of the top 25 green travel destinations in the world - and are also finalists for the Cornwall Sustainability Awards for the Sustainable Construction section to be held in December.

Barbara and Mark Sadler from Roundhouse Barns were awarded Best Small Self-Catering Business in Cornwall and were also runners up in the Best B&B in Cornwall category.

Barbara Sadler said “We’re delighted with the recognition we’ve received.  It’s the second consecutive year we’ve won both of these awards.  It demonstrates the consistency and quality of the service we provide.

Mark Sadler commented “We're overjoyed.  It was also so nice that a number of our friends in the tourism business also picked up awards.  A great party was had"

Although we were not involved with the Roundhouse Barns development, we are currently working with Barbara and Mark on an exciting new project.
