CAD Architects: What’s ‘Next’ for Kingsley Village?

Well 'Next' is what’s next!

The new 'Next' store at Kingsley Village, Fraddon, Cornwall is now complete and opened it's doors last month just in time for the Christmas rush.

The brief was to design a vertical extension over the original single storey food hall. CAD are pleased to have provided architectural services.

The extension incorporates the original sub-structure, elements of the original steel frame and the roof structure, the latter raised to accommodate 2 new mezzanine floors. All floors are visible through a new clear glazed structural glass facade.

The total floor area of the extension will be circa 2251 sq m.

A 'Starbucks' has also been incorporated at ground level in an extension to the rear of the glazed link between the new 'Next' and the main shopping hall, for which CAD also provided architectural services.

CAD have also designed a supermarket extension which has received planning consent but is still to be constructed.
