Recent House Alterations & Extensions

We have been very busy with house alterations & extensions recently in addition to all those lovely new build projects we have been involved with.

We realise that there is a large amount of work involved during the whole process of having alterations or extensions carried out on a property and that is why we are involved from the early planning stages right through to the completion of the project.

We have a wide experience in these type of projects and have also worked on many listed buildings with many obstacles to overcome along the way.

Here are a few examples of projects that have been recently completed:

Carricknath, St. Mawes:
A substantial extension of an existing large dwelling including an Orangery and a Games Room set below ground level within the sloping garden.

St. John’s Terrace, Devoran:
The Conservatory provides flexible living accommodation by enclosing the rear courtyard, whilst maintaining good levels of daylight into the existing windows through the fully glazed roof. The existing roof covering was partially stripped back to allow a fully weathered junction to be formed between the existing and new construction, but without detrimental impact
on the listed building fabric.

House at Perranwell:
The long, corridor layout of this 1970’s bungalow needed a new sitting / dining / kitchen to turn it in to a contemporary home.  A new “wing”  at right angles to the house was created - at a half level lower - to give a high, light and attractive space, that also opened directly out through large sliding windows to a new garden deck.
